AI Action Space Settings: Helping You Get Started with AI Faster

The new AI Action Space Settings feature, available for Lead and Enterprise clients starting May 20, 2024.

1. AI Becoming the Ultimate Assistant with More Customization in Action Space

1.1 Feature Overview

This feature allows advertisers to tailor AI optimizations to their advertising strategies, achieving the best results:

  • Customization in AI Action Space: Advertisers can customize individual AI optimization actions based on their advertising needs and strategies. Each action item has its own on/off switch.

  • Cost-Effective Optimization with Operational Experience: By integrating operational expertise, AI can optimize bid price ranges, keyword additions/negations, and budget allocations to deliver the best results.

  • Expansive Coverage of AI Optimization: AI covers four optimization areas—bid, targeting, budget, and structure —enhancing efficiency.

Description

Bid Optimization

Bid Optimization

Includes bid dayparting, base bid adjustment, and placement adjustment.

Bid dayparting: Xnurta analyzes AMS hourly data to determine performance differences at different times of the day. Based on the performance levels, it increases or decreases bids at different times.

Base bid adjustment: Xnurta adjusts bids by analyzing different ad metrics and levels of data over various look-back periods, combining model predictions and a risk control system.

Placement ajustment: Based on certain data foundations, when there are significant differences in CVR between ToS, PDP, and RoS, Xnurta adjusts placements by judging the CVR performance of these three positions.

Targeting Optimization

Keyword/ASIN Harvesting

If a promoted product has high-performing keywords or ASINs that have not yet been added to the campaign (data from the search term report), Xnurta adds them to the campaign budget permitting.

Keyword/ASIN Negation

Based on the historical performance of search terms and combined with the TOPSIS method, root word analysis, and predictive models, Xnurta calculates the comprehensive contribution and cost of search terms to negate inefficient or ineffective search terms, reducing unnecessary ad spending.

Keyword/ASIN Pausing & Supplementing

Pauses underperforming keywords/ASINs and adds new targets.

Budget Optimization

Budget Dayparting

For ad campaigns with sufficient data and over-budget situations, Xnurta uses AMS(Amazon marketing Stream) hourly data to identify performance differences throughout the day. By setting time-based budgets, it controls ad spending during high conversion rate periods. The metric shows the percentage of time lots in high conversion periods where over-budget situations did not occur. The higher the better.

Budget Increase

For campaigns that allow Xnurta to increase the daily budget, Xnurta considers ACoS, order volume, and expenditure levels to make a judgment. When the ad campaign performs well and the estimated budget is insufficient to support all-day spending, the budget is increased to seize the momentum and continue the success.

Budget Reallocation

Xnurta will reallocate the surplus budget based on the size of the data sample, considering expenditure and conversion capabilities.

Structure Optimization

Structure Optimization

Pauses underperforming advertised products, ad groups, and campaigns, reallocating their budgets to more efficient targets to improve the overall efficiency of the managed group.

3. How to Use

  1. Choose Optimizations: Each AI action item can be individually customized with an on/off switch.

  2. Inject Operational Experience: Provide additional "insurance" for AI-managed tasks, such as:

    • Setting bid ranges to meet CPC control requirements.

    • Specifying keywords not to harvest or negate, according to your advertising strategy.

To use these features, go to the AI Copilot - Creation page, click [Add Managed Group], or edit existing managed groups.

In bid optimization, you can set a bid range. The system also lists the CPC range and bid range for reference.

In targeting optimization, you can set keywords for AI not to add or negate. Xnurta will use these keywords in exact match mode, so be careful not to miss keywords as much as possible.

4. Things to Note

  • Limiting AI action items may negatively impact the effectiveness of Xnurta AI. We recommend:

    • Enabling all necessary action spaces.

    • Avoiding lowering bid ranges extremely (i.e. lower than the past 14 days' CPC)

    • For campaigns with specific keyword strategy, set keywords not to harvest or negate.

5. FAQ

About Bid Optimization Settings

1. After setting a bid range, will the CPC remain within the range?

  • The bid range sets the bids, but the final CPC can be adjusted by placement modifier and bidding strategies, so it may exceed or be lower than the range.

2. After setting a bid range, will AI’s bid dayparting overwrite the range?

  • AI's bid dayparting adjustments will not exceed the range.
