Competitive Product Recommendations are based on multiple sources such as product search terms, product detail page, BSR list, etc.
It provide reference for the competitive environment of the product, and it is convenient for you to insight the main competitors of your key products and competitors.
2. Use Cases
Identify the main competitors of the product, monitor the search ranking or other aspects of these competitors, analyze their advertising strategies and respond accordingly.
Fill in the gaps of product targeting if competitors are highly related to your product, or negative targeting if the competitors are inefficient for targeting.

After authorizing SP-API, it can be viewed in the product center. The data is calculated and updated daily. After the first authorization, the data can be viewed 2-7 days later.

How Xnurta recommends competing products
Multiple data sources
Competitive product recommendation selects the most popular ASIN sold under the a Parent ASIN as the basis for recommendation, obtains data such as advertising performance of the ASIN.
It combines these data and information such as category, product price, and star rating to obtain recommended competitive products from multiple sources.
Recommendation index
Based on the main attributes of the product (title, price, rating, etc.), calculate its similarity to your product, while considering your product's competitive advantage, and calculate a recommendation index between 0-100 as your reference.
The higher the recommendation index, the more Xnurta recommends you to target the product.
4.1 Recommendation Sources
- Keyword Search: Recommendations are based on the recently SP search terms of the product. The system analyzing the relationship between these words and ASIN to obtain the three main keywords that best represent the product, and obtain competitive products based on these keywords.
- Category Keyword Search: Get competitive products based on the category word to which the current product belongs on Amazon.
- Product Detail Page: Get the current ASIN displayed in Amazon's Product Detail Page
- Best Seller Rank: Obtain the BSR category and rank of the current ASIN, and obtain products similar to the current product from the BSR list
- New Release Rank: Obtain products similar to current products from the Amazon New Release Rank.
4.2 Information of Competitors
Recommended competitive products can be filtered by two dimensions.
- The data source of competitive products, switching the source can see the market distribution of various segmented markets and recommend competitive products.
- Product classification divides competitive product ASINs into same product category ASINs and other product category ASINs based on the similarities and differences between competitive product ASINs and the product categories of your ASIN. If the product belongs to multiple categories, the current page will divide competitive products into category similarities and differences based on the latest obtained Amazon category.
For products of the same category, the distribution analysis chart of the brand, price, star rating, and rating number of competitive products is displayed to facilitate your understanding of the market environment and the location of the product.
View specific competitive product information, filter by price, rating, brand, etc.
- You can add product targeting, negative targeting, or add labels.
5. FAQ
1. Why can't we see the data when recommending competitive products?
- After SP-API authorization, it takes 2-7 days to display competitive product recommendations for the first time. If it is a profile that has just been authorized, please be patient and wait for the system to calculate and recommend competitive products for you.
- There are multiple categories of products, and the latest category data returned from Amazon may have anomalies or deviations. Please check if there is data in competitive products of other categories
- ASIN has not received any SP keyword targeted advertising data in the near future, product details have not received effective recommended products (Products related to this item, 4 stars and above modules are not displayed), and products have not received effective BSR ranking information, which may cause recommendations to have no data
- After adjusting the parentASIN-ASIN structure of your product, the product data is being resynchronized, which may cause the failure of competitive product display
