How to Subscribe to AMC Paid Features & Data Models

To unlock deep-funnel data like Flexible Shopper Insights (FSI) or Amazon Retail Purchases, you need to activate paid subscriptions within your Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) instance.

Depending on who manages your account, there are two ways to get this done.

Scenario 1: AMC Instance Managed by Xnurta

If the Xnurta team originally created and manages your AMC instance, you won’t be able to click "Subscribe" yourself. Instead, follow these steps:

  1. Contact your CSM: Send a written confirmation (via email) to your Xnurta Client Success Manager requesting the subscription.

  2. Review the Quote: Because costs vary based on your data volume, your CSM will provide an estimated monthly quote.

  3. Confirm Activation: Once you respond and confirm the quote, our team will activate the subscription on the backend for you.

Scenario 2: Brand-Owned AMC Instance

If you own the instance and have Admin permissions, you can activate the subscription directly through the UI.

Step-by-Step Activation

  1. Navigate to Paid Features: Log in to your AMC instance. In the top navigation menu, click on the Paid features tab.

  2. View Options: Find the dataset you want (e.g., Amazon Insights) and click the See options button on the right.

  3. Check the Price: On the subscription settings page, you will see your specific monthly cost.

Note on Cost: The price for FSI varies based on your data size. If your entity has massive amounts of data, costs can range from $100 to over $10,000 per month.

  4. Select Billing Source: Use the dropdown menu to choose your Billing source. You can choose to have the subscription billed to your Sponsored Ads account or your Amazon DSP invoice.

  5. Subscribe: Click the Subscribe button at the top right. The subscription starts immediately.

Pro Tip: The 60-Day Free Trial

Amazon currently offers a 60-day free trial for most paid features.

  • Check Eligibility: Look for the "Get a 60-day free trial" link next to the subscription name (as seen in the "Paid features" main page).

  • Test Before You Pay: We highly recommend using this trial period to ensure the data (like Subscribe & Save metrics) provides the specific insights you need before the first bill hits.

FAQ

Q: Will the 60-day trial automatically turn into a paid subscription?

A: No. Once the trial ends, the subscription will simply stop. If you want to continue using the paid features, you’ll need to follow the manual subscription steps mentioned above to reactivate them.

Q: When exactly does my 60-day trial end?

A: Since the trial is provided and managed directly by Amazon, Xnurta does not have access to your specific start date or timeline. You’ll need to check your Amazon Advertising console for the exact expiration date.

Q: Once I hit "Subscribe" on Amazon, can I use the new features on Xnurta immediately?

A: Not quite. Xnurta doesn't receive an automatic notification about your current subscription status. As soon as you subscribe, please contact your CSM. We will enable the feature on the Xnurta platform for you as quickly as possible.
